Position Summary:

NSTS is seeking talented Nuclear Reactor Core Design Engineers to work on current projects. This is an excellent opportunity to support clients engaged in the design and deployment of innovative next generation nuclear reactor technologies.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform reactor core design calculations and analyses using industry-standard methods and simulation tools (e.g., MCNP, CMS, etc.), with little to no supervision.
• Perform independent reviews of reactor core design calculations and analyses generated by other engineers;
• Assist with procedure and standards development.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

• Bachelor of Science degree in nuclear engineering, physics or a related technical field plus a minimum of five years of experience working as a reactor core design engineer.
• Experience in developing reactor core design calculations and analyses compliant with 10 CFR 50 and Department of Energy standards.
• Knowledge and application experience in the standards and requirements of 10 CFR 21 and the quality assurance requirements of 10 CFR 50 Appendix B and NQA-1.
• US citizen or Permanent Resident.
